Sakurao Gin Orginial is the first gin from Hiroshima. It is produced by SAKURAO Brewery and Distillery and enchants with 9 carefully selected botanicals from the region. It comes with strong citrus notes of yuzu, lemon and various types of oranges and leaves pleasant notes of ginger and green tea in the finish. An intense craft gin with a great great value for this price.

Japanese whisky lovers will surely be familiar with the company s former name, Chugoku Jozo – they have been producing Togouchi whisky for decades. In 2018, Chugoku Jozo founded Sakurao Distillery in addition to its previous production facility to focus on the production of new craft spirits. In 2021, the company renamed itself to SAKURAO Brewery and Distillery and the Sakurao Gin Original was the first product from this new distillery. At the Sakurao Original, the company s hundred years of experience meet the best local ingredients from Hiroshima: Navel Orange, Sweet Summer Orange, Yuzu, Daidai (bitter orange), Hinoki (Japanese cypress), Green Tea, Aka Shiso (traditional Japanese spice), slightly minty) , Ginger and Lemon. The outcome are citrus notes, which assert themselves very nicely at the beginning, and are replaced on the tongue by ginger and green tea.
